This site-specific work explores ritual in allegorical and carnivalesque popular culture in contemporary Brazil. Prior to the live art action the artists took part in candomblé ceremonies where they witnessed trance and offerings to the gods of the polytheistic afro-brazilian religion. Candomblé was brought to Brazil by the first african slaves and is still present in the contemporary culture.
