'squirrel' is a public space intervention, a gallery installation and performance. It explores ideas of ritual, street protest and the carnivalesque.
For the action we built a large squirrel ear that is used as a totem and paraded through the streets of SE London sometimes stopping the traffic. The carnival enters the vault at Beaconsfield gallery. Inside there is an installation with radio microphones that work as movement sensors changing ptich with the proximity of the bodies.
